September crude fell $1.79, or 2.5%, to close at $70.10 a barrel, its lowest closing level since June 20, on waning concerns over global oil production and supplies. September natural gas fell 7.7 cents to finish at $6.689 per million British thermal units. Prices, which are at a three-week low, have lost 12.6% in value in six-straight losing sessions on ample U.S. inventories.
