Crude oil declined more than $2 a barrel and natural gas plunged the most this year on forecasts showing Ernesto won't interrupt production.

Natural Gas for September delivery dropped 65.7 cents, or 9.2 percent, to $6.50 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The decline was the biggest one-day drop for a most-active contract since Dec. 27, 2005. Gas rallied 6.3 percent last week in part on concern that Ernesto would disrupt production of natural gas and crude oil.
